International Women's Day is an opportunity to reflect on what has been achieved and what needs to be done to ensure equal opportunities and rights for all women. At Atlantia, we are proud to be building a workplace where women thrive, with 78% of our team made up of women.
We pride ourselves on the team we have built at Atlantia and recognise that the people we have onboard are central to the success of our organisation. To mark #IWD23 we want to celebrate and highlight all of our female employees and get to know five of them a little bit better...meet our Medical Study Manager, Onthatile!
Tell us a bit about your role at Atlantia.
As a Medical Study Manager, I am responsible for patient safety throughout their trial participation. I am an Investigator for all the trials at Atlantia. I began my journey in Atlantia as a Study doctor and was promoted to Medical Study Manager, with Clinical Research Investigators reporting to me.
What do you enjoy most about working for Atlantia?
The people and culture, I am free to be myself in Atlantia. I have a great manager and have always felt always felt seen and heard in the workspace.
What’s one bit of advice you would give someone who wants to enter your field of work?
A varied good clinical background is essential in becoming a versatile research physician. It allows you to not be confined to a single therapeutic area and put your skills to good use with each trial.
What’s the next place on your travel bucket list?
Croatia and Turkey are definitely on my bucket list, I've never been to the Mediterranean so I'd like to visit.
If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Anything that includes potatoes, butter and bread I could live off for the rest of my life. I believe Potatoes are the vegetable G.O.A.T.
